Williamson County and the City of Jarrell broke ground on the County Road 332 expansion project on February 5. The project encompasses CR 332 from 1600 feet south of Farm to Market 487 to 2000 feet north of County Road 313. CR 332 will be reconstructed as a two-lane roadway with shoulders to improve safety and mobility. Curves will also be smoothed as part of the reconstruction to improve safety for motorists.
“This is a great road safety project for the people of Jarrell,” said Pct. 4 Commissioner Russ Boles. “I believe parents should have dinner with their families, not stuck in traffic.”
The project was awarded to Chasco Constructors in December 2023 for $2.5 million. Construction is anticipated to be completed by fall 2024. The design engineers are Seiler Lankes Group.
