Deadline for 2023 Property Tax Payment Approaching

Property Taxes Due

Williamson County Tax Assessor/Collector Larry Gaddes reminds property owners that 2023 property taxes must be paid in full by Jan. 31 to avoid the accrual of penalty and interest.

The most common payment options include:
 · Mail payments to 904 S. Main St., Georgetown, TX, 78626.
 · Payments made by check can be placed in any of our exterior drop boxes located at each office.
· Payments can be made online by searching for your property or in person by making an appointment, please visit www.wilcotx.gov/taxoffice.
 · Credit cards and e-checks are accepted but incur additional vendor fees.

For a full list of payment options, go to www.wilcotx.gov/propertytax/paymentoptions.

Taxpayers are strongly encouraged to avoid the rush and pay before Jan. 31. Placing payments in a USPS post office box does not guarantee a postmark for that day, and using a bank’s online bill pay could delay payment, which could result in additional penalties and interest.  If paying on or near the last day, we strongly encourage using our drop box or paying online.

For answers to many questions about property taxes, visit the County Tax Assessor-Collector’s website at www.wilcotx.gov/taxoffice or email [email protected] , or call 512-943-1601.
