WCRAS Holiday Updates and Free Adoptions

The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter (WCRAS) will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 23, for Thanksgiving and will resume normal business hours on Friday, Nov. 24.

Monday, Nov. 20, through Sunday, Nov. 26, dog adoptions will be free to loving homes. Email [email protected] to schedule an appointment to meet the pet of your dreams! Walk-ins are also welcomed between noon to 6 p.m.

Not ready to commit? The holidays are the perfect time to share with a foster pet, so why not take a dog “Home for the Holidays!” This fostering program features any adoptable medium or large dog. It is as easy as joining the WCRAS foster team by filling out the New Foster Registration Form, then picking out a dog. Gifts abound for all with this program – you provide a loving home for the pet, and they provide you with love and devotion in return. If it turns out to be a match made in heaven, you can adopt your foster. Otherwise, you bring him or her back to the shelter. This special fostering program runs through Tuesday, Jan. 2.

Visit to preview all adoptable pets.
