The Williamson County Expo Center celebrates its seventh birthday on Sunday, Nov. 12.
Since opening in 2016, the Expo Center has hosted a variety of events, including those put on by the Williamson County Fair and Rodeo, Williamson County Livestock Association, Taylor Rodeo Association, local Future Farmers of America organizations and other groups.
The Expo Center averages approximately 54,000 visitors per year and is rented out 47 of the 52 weekends. The facilities are also rented on weekdays.
The Expo Center is more than 165,000 square feet and its facilities include an indoor expo hall, RV park, covered outdoor expo, main arena, covered warm-up arena, pavilion, meeting rooms and an event office.
In the Nov. 7 election, Williamson County voters approved bonds not to exceed $59 million for parks and recreational improvements including the Expo Center. Proposed improvements include a covered west arena, additional restroom facilities and land acquisition to expand facilities.
