The Texas Judicial Council recognized the Honorable Evelyn McLean, Williamson County Justice of the Peace Pct. 3 (JP3), and her office today for JP 3’s ongoing commitment to excellence in judicial administration. Judge McLean is the third Justice of the Peace in Texas to complete the months-long process to receive this distinguished recognition.
The Centers of Excellence Program is a Judicial Branch initiative led by the Texas Judicial Council focused on identifying and highlighting the outstanding work that judges and their staff across the state are doing in their communities and their courtrooms.
Judge McLean was recognized for her outstanding and ongoing dedication to increasing access to the justice system for her constituents, her commitment to individualized justice and her service to Williamson County both in and out of the courtroom. As a Judicial Center of Excellence, Judge McLean and her court join six other district and county courts across the state who have been recognized for their service to the courts and their communities.
“I cannot overstate the fact that this honor was earned due to the remarkable team we have at JP3. Every person in our office plays a vital role in our overall success,” Judge McLean said.
As part of that collaboration, Judge McLean stands as a leader among the state’s judiciary and Justices of the Peace and will continue to work with the Council and the Office of Court Administration to further improve and advance the goals of the program across the state.
