Who: The Williamson County Homeless Coalition, The Round Rock Area Serving Center, & The Volunteer Center

What: Williamson County Homeless Awareness Event, Volunteer & Resource Fair

Where: J.B. & Hallie Jester Williamson County Annex, 1801 E. Old Settlers Blvd., Round Rock

When: Saturday, Nov. 18, 2023, from 4 to 8 p.m.

The Wilco Homeless Coalition, founded in 2019 to connect people in need through resource fairs, will be hosting this event free to the public to build community support and increase awareness of people experiencing homelessness. The Round Rock Area Serving Center serves individuals and families in need through a coalition of churches, organizations and individuals in Round Rock and surrounding areas. 

Also participating will be representatives of organizations that serve folks living unsheltered.

Featured speaker will be Maggie Ellis, candidate for Texas 3rd Court of Appeals, Place 2, who experienced homelessness as a child.

There will be a screening of “Lead Me Home,” a documentary about homelessness in America, followed by a Question & Answer period from 6 to 8 p.m. The movie is rated PG-13. Complimentary snacks will be provided during the movie.
