Williamson County Precinct 4 Commissioner Russ Boles announces Segment 1 of Samsung Highway opens today, Monday, Oct. 16.
Segment 1 is a portion of the Samsung Highway project that will construct a four-lane road to reduce curves on CR 404 and increase safety. The completed roadway will connect FM 3349 to FM 973, just south of the Samsung plant. Segment 1 connects FM 973 to CR 404. Segment 2 will connect CR 404 to FM 3349 and will be completed in summer 2024.
The design engineer is HNTB, and the contractor is Chasco. The construction cost of this project was $11,444,748.50 and is funded through the county’s voter-approved 2019 Road Bond.
