The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter is excited to host their final after-hours free adoption event of the year on Friday, Sept. 29. All of the cool kids will be free to adopt at the PAWjama party from 6 to 8 p.m. Who are the cool kids? All the adoptable cats and kittens, plus the pups that get invited to the party.
“The PAWjama Parties have been a big hit with folks this year, and we’re happy to host our final one of the year on Friday,” said Misty Valenta, animal services director. “With so many wonderful pets to choose from, being open later provides an opportunity for those who might not be able to make it into the shelter otherwise to find a new furry friend to add to the family. Our staff and volunteers have really taken this fun adoption event to a new level, making it a great time for all who attend!”
You can preview all the cool kids at www.wilcotx.gov/pets, then stop by for the extended hours of 6 to 8 p.m. This is a one-night-only event and the final one of the year, so set those reminders and then head to the shelter on Friday night!
Pro tip: While all of the shelter’s adoptable dogs won't be automatically invited to the party, anyone can invite one of them currently at the shelter to attend, making them free to adopt (some limitations will apply). So preview those adoptable pets before heading in, then invite your favorites to attend!
All free adoptions will include the dog or cat’s spay or neuter surgery, all age-appropriate vaccinations, a microchip that the shelter will register for the adopter, and a voucher for a free wellness exam at a participating veterinary clinic.
