The Williamson County Commissioners Court approved an interlocal agreement between the county and Williamson County ESD #2 (Sam Bass Fire Department) to establish an ambulance and personnel housing at Williamson County ESD #2 stations.
The agreement will allow the county to house Emergency Medical Services crews at Fire Station No. 2, 16248 Great Oaks Drive in Round Rock and Fire Station No. 3, 2351 Great Oaks Drive in Round Rock. This will allow EMS crews at the stations to more effectively respond to locations that are in close proximity to the stations.
“Our EMS crews will be moving from a Round Rock station with no sleeping capacity to a station that was built to house one of our units,” said Precinct 3 Commissioner Valerie Covey. “This move will increase amenities to our paramedics and EMTs and allow enhanced services to this area.”
