Location: CR 366 (Chandler Road to Carlos G. Parker Boulevard Northwest)
Description: This project is upgrading the existing two-lane roadway to a three-lane roadway with a continuous enter turn lane and shoulders from Chandler Road to just north of Carlos G. Parker Boulevard NW. The intersection with Carlos G. Parker Boulevard NW will be realigned to eliminate the existing curve and upgraded to five lanes including turn lanes, shoulders, and a traffic signal. This project was requested by the City of Taylor and received funding through the voter-approved 2019 Road Bond.
Status: Design by Garver is complete. The contractor is James Construction. Construction began in November 2022 and is expected to be complete in summer 2024. See a project fact sheet (PDF).
The City of Taylor maintains CR 366, while Williamson County is managing the reconstruction project. Increased truck traffic has caused significant damage to the existing pavement. Due to this road damage, Williamson County and the City of Taylor agree it is in the best interest of the traveling public to close the road to through traffic until the construction project is completed. We will provide access to local traffic on CR 366 and CR 369 through the construction zone. CR 367 residents will access via Carlos G Parker Blvd. The closure began on Monday, July 24, and remain in place until the project is completed in summer 2024.
