Location: Chandler Road between SH 130 and SH 95
Description: Design of the schematic is underway for an ultimate controlled access facility with two main lanes in each direction, access ramps, and three-lane frontage roads with shared use paths on each side. There is currently no construction funding. The project is planned to be constructed in phases over several decades as growth occurs and when funding becomes available. Phase 1 is the existing two-lane roadway and was constructed in 2012. Phase 2 will be a divided highway and future phases could include main lanes, ramps and direct connectors.
Status: The engineers, DEC (Segment 1 from SH 130 to CR 101) and BGE (Segment 2 from CR 101 to SH 95) are working on the schematic design. These schematics are anticipated to be complete in fall 2023.
