Location: Connector from CR 305 to FM 487/C. Bud Stockton in Precinct 4
Description: The C. Bud Stockton Extension is part of the County's Long-Range Transportation Plan which aims to prepare for current and future growth by maintaining a high level of mobility and quality of life for all Williamson County residents. The project was identified by the City of Jarrell as one of its priority projects for the 2019 Road Bond election that was approved by voters.
Williamson County has been working closely with the City of Jarrell to develop a plan that extends the C. Bud Stockton Loop by constructing two lanes of a future four-lane roadway connecting CR 305 to FM 487/C. Bud Stockton Loop with turn lanes. The 1.78-mile-long project would not only improve connectivity to the north, but it aims to reduce delays along FM 487. Extending the loop will provide commuters with an alternative route to the interstate while alleviating congestion on FM 487.
Status: The County selected engineering firm Pape-Dawson for this project. A groundbreaking was held on January 30. The contractor is Cash Construction, and the project is anticipated to be completed by fall 2023.
