Location: Extending the Southwest Bypass from Wolf Ranch Parkway to SH 29
Description: The Southwest Bypass Extension will extend the two-lane Southwest Bypass from Wolf Ranch Parkway to SH 29. The project has been expanded to include a 10-foot wide shared-use path adjacent to the roadway from the north bank of the San Gabriel River to SH 29 utilizing County park bond funds. This is the final phase of the Southwest Bypass project. Segment 1 of the project, which included a new two-lane roadway from IH-35 to 3,100 feet west, was completed in fall 2018. Segment 2 of the project, which completed the roadway from RM 2243 to IH-35, was completed in May 2020.
Status: Construction on the Southwest Bypass Extension is substantially complete.
