Corridor F / US 183
Location: U.S. 183 from SH 29 to the Williamson County Line in Precinct 2 and Precinct 3
Status: A schematic has been finalized by CP&Y and is located under Materials and Documents below. Since the Corridor F / U.S. 183 Study launched in 2017, two open houses were held on July 13 and November 16, 2017, to gather input from the community. The study team reviewed the comments received and analyzed important factors such as floodplains, historic properties, and impacts to homes and businesses. The County has also met with impacted property owners. With this information, a recommended route, which minimizes negative impacts, was developed. There is currently no funding for construction of this roadway; however, the County is available to speak with willing sellers regarding the purchase of necessary ROW along the route.
Feedback received from the open houses propelled the team to complete a safety study to identify short-term to medium-term safety enhancements in the corridor. The results of the study showed an immediate need in the area, and TxDOT is moving forward with safety projects. Materials and Documents
