Meets two or three times per year with Williamson County's outside auditors. These meetings typically happen in January and March of each year.
Members
Four citizens with some financial expertise are chosen by Commissioners Court to serve for three years on the committee, which is chaired by a county commissioner and on which the county judge serves as an Ex Officio member.
In order to promote greater community involvement and transparency, Commissioner Covey serves on this committee with a volunteer panel of Williamson County citizens.
Overview
The Williamson County Audit Committee monitors the County's independent audit, reviews any RFPs for independent audit services, and makes recommendations to the Commissioners Court regarding the independent audit and the award of independent audit services.
