AgriLife Leadership Advisory Committee
This is a diverse group of volunteers who are responsible for the overall Extension programs in Williamson County. They provide the vision and long-term planning for AgriLife Extension activities, serve as advocates for the county program, help interpret the program throughout the county, and help develop resources to support Extension programs.

Audit Committee
In order to promote greater community involvement and transparency, Commissioner Covey serves on this committee with a volunteer panel of Williamson County citizens.

Bail Bond Board
The Williamson County Bail Bond Board exercises powers incidental and necessary to the administration of the bail bond business in Williamson County including supervising and regulating each phase of the bonding business, adopting necessary rules, and making determinations related to the issuance, denial, or renewal of bondsman licenses.

Behavioral Health Task Force
The Mental Health Task Force focuses on countywide mental health policy and systems changes for all age groups and includes a Children and Youth Behavioral Health Subcommittee.

Capital Area Council of Governments (CAPCOG)
CAPCOG is a regional collaboration with over 90 participating government entities in 10 Central Texas counties. CAPCOG has helped the region recognize opportunities for cooperation and eliminate unnecessary duplication in emergency communications, elderly assistance, law enforcement training, criminal justice planning, solid waste reduction, homeland security planning, infrastructure development, transportation planning and economic development.

Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO)
The Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO) is the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for Bastrop, Burnet, Caldwell, Hays, Travis, and Williamson Counties. It coordinates regional transportation planning with counties, cities, Capital Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Capital Metro), Capital Area Rural Transportation System (CARTS), Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority (CTRMA), Texas Department of Transportation, and other transportation providers in the region. CAMPO approves the use of federal and state transportation funds within the region.

Capital Area Rural Transportation System (CARTS)
CARTS District is a rural/urban transit district that is responsible for a wide variety of community-based passenger transportation services in a 7200 square mile nine-county area surrounding Austin and includes the non-urbanized areas of Bastrop, Blanco, Burnet, Caldwell, Fayette, Hays, Lee, Travis and Williamson counties, and the San Marcos urbanized area.

Capital Metro is the regional public transportation provider in Austin and surrounding communities.

Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority (CTRMA)
The CTRMA is an independent government agency that strives to improve the transportation system in Williamson and Travis counties. Their mission is to implement innovative, multi-modal transportation solutions that reduce congestion and create transportation choices that enhance the quality of life and economic vitality. They are responsible for much of the toll roads built in our area.

Child Welfare Board
The Child Welfare Board is devoted to helping supply the needs of Williamson County children in foster care.

Citizens Bond Committee
On Tuesday, March 28, the Williamson County Commissioners formed a Citizens Bond Committee to discuss future needs for county roads and parks. The purpose of a Williamson County Citizens Bond Committee is to review and analyze the infrastructure needs of Williamson County to determine if the county should consider a bond election in November 2023.

Conservation Foundation
The Williamson County Conservation Foundation (WCCF) was established in December 2002 as a pro-active measure to comply with the Endangered Species Act while helping to further responsible development in Williamson County.

Emergency Services Districts (ESDs)
Emergency Services Districts (ESDs) provide fire service in unincorporated areas of Williamson County and in some incorporated cities when they do not have their own fire department.

Historic Commission
The mission of the commission is to protect and preserve the county’s historic and prehistoric resources for the use, education, economic benefit, and enjoyment of present and future generations.

Investment Committee
Commissioner Covey serves on this committee along with the County Judge, County Treasurer, County Tax Assessor/Collector and the County Auditor to analyze reports on the county investments.

Juvenile Board
The Juvenile Board provides progressive, innovative programming for juveniles in the justice system while collaborating with other organizations that share similar service philosophies.

Lone Star Regional Water Authority
The Lone Star Regional Water Authority provides water to parts of northern Williamson County and the Sonterra Municipal Utility District.

Opportunities for Williamson & Burnet Counties
Opportunities for Williamson and Burnet Counties is a private, non-profit corporation governed by elected officials, community leaders and target area representatives. Throughout its history, Opportunities has administered a wide range of social service and economic opportunity programs benefiting many.

Regional Animal Shelter
The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter is a collaborative effort between Williamson County and the cities of Round Rock, Cedar Park, Hutto, and Leander. The shelter objectives are to increase pet adoptions and lost pet reclaims; emphasize humane care for lost, unwanted or displaced pets; assist animal control public safety efforts by providing a secure area for dangerous animals and a safe haven for strays; and reduce the costs to each participating entity through a shared regional facility.

Texas Conference of Urban Counties (CUC)
The Conference of Urban Counties is a non-profit organization composed of 37 member counties that represent approximately 80% of the population of Texas. The Urban Counties supports and coordinates communications among member counties, studies policies and programs of the State of Texas that affect urban counties, advocates county issues, primarily at the state level, and provides training and education programs appropriate for urban county officials.

Tobacco Settlement Permanent Trust Account Administration Committee
The Tobacco Settlement Permanent Trust Account Administration Committee meets once a year around October. The Commissioners Court nominates a court member and the Texas Department of Health and Human Services decides who serves on this committee.

Tobacco Settlement Permanent Trust Account Investment Committee
The committee shall provide the comptroller guidance with respect to the investment philosophy that should be pursued in managing these assets and the extent to which, at any particular time, the assets should be managed to maximize the growth of the corpus or to maximize earnings.

Williamson Central Appraisal District (WCAD)
An appraisal district board of directors hires the chief appraiser, sets the budget, and appoints the appraisal review board members. The directors have no authority to set values or appraisal methods. The chief appraiser carries out the appraisal district’s legal duties, hires the staff, makes the appraisals, and operates the appraisal office.

The Williamson County & Cities Health District (WCCHD) provides public health services to Williamson County in cooperation with various cities in Williamson County.

Williamson County Behavioral Taskforce
The Williamson County Behavioral Taskforce strives to sustain a coordinated behavioral health system of care that focuses on prevention and early intervention, provides integrated services and access to care by eliminating barriers, reduces stigma through building awareness, and improves outcomes in a community that respects and preserves the rights of all and focuses on the whole person.

The committee studies various options for providing benefits to Williamson County employees.

Williamson County Conservation Foundation (WCCF)
The WCCF provides for the conservation of endangered species in Williamson County by setting aside open space while helping to promote responsible development.

Williamson County Fleet Committee
The Williamson County Fleet Committee's goals are to review reports on fleet activity to include accident review, research areas for reduction in fuel usage, reduce and control the fleet size, and use the fleet database to project vehicle and equipment replacement in conjunction with budget recommendations, with additional duties.

The historical commission preserves, protects, and promotes local history within Williamson County.

Williamson County Salary Grievance Committee
The Williamson County Salary Grievance Committee meets only when a county elected official who is aggrieved by the setting of the officer's salary or personal expenses may request a hearing before the salary grievance committee before the approval of the county's annual budget.

Williamson Museum
The museum collects, preserves, and exhibits items relating to the rich culture and heritage of Williamson County. It also promotes the culture and heritage of Williamson County through education, preservation, acquisition, and exhibition.
