Resurfacing Program

Neighborhood Street Resurfacing Program

Williamson County uses two different types of resurfacing products subdivision streets. The straight sections of roadway will receive what is called a "seal coat" and the cul-de-sacs will receive what is called a "fog seal".

If you have any questions or concerns, please call the Williamson County Road and Bridge hotline at 512-943-3393 or visit the Resurfacing Schedule page to see if your street is scheduled for the next two days of work.

Preparation for Resurfacing

There are some important steps in a successful resurfacing application that occur months before the product is actually applied. County Road and Bridge crews will start preparing your streets in the Fall and Winter for resurfacing operations that will occur the following Spring and Summer. See the Prep Work page for more information about preparation for resurfacing.

Notifying Residents

Road and Bridge will notify residents in advance of the work by door hangers, flashing message signs or static message signs. If your subdivision is receiving door hangers, it can be expected that the Green (PDF) door hanger will be placed approximately 2 weeks in advance of the work and the Orange (PDF) hanger will be placed approximately 2 to 3 days in advance. If your subdivision is receiving a flashing message board, it can be expected that the message board will be placed approximately a week in advance of the work. After receiving advance notification, please visit the Resurfacing Schedule page to see if your street is scheduled for the next two days of work. This list is updated daily.

Note: Please do not run sprinklers on your designated resurfacing day.
