We aim to connect with the community through local meetings, sheriff's academies, and public education.


  • Public Safety Cadets Program: Through the Williamson County Sheriff's Public Safety Cadets program, young adults learn life skills, citizenship, character education, and leadership as they prepare for a future career in law enforcement. The age requirement is 14 to 21. Email the following address for more information.
  • Dare Program: Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) As part of DARE, students are taught to avoid using controlled drugs, joining gangs, and doing violent acts. Visit the Dare Program or email Deputy Matt Kreidel.
  • Crime Prevention: Neighborhood Watch Program
  • Email National Night Out: National Night Out is a nationwide initiative to promote public safety and community partnerships in addition to neighborhood camaraderie. Please visit to register. 
  • Junior Deputy Academy: The Williamson County Sheriff's Office hosts a four-day academy that gives young citizens residing in Williamson County the opportunity to see what it is like to be a county deputy and to learn other unique aspects of the county.
  • Citizens Police Academy (English and Spanish sessions): 10-week program designed to share the operations of the Sheriff's Office with our community. Please register at 
  • Special Olympics Events - Central Texas: Office participates in events held by the Texas Special Olympics Organization. 
  • Brown Santa Program Site: In order to make Christmas merrier and positively impact families that, without our assistance, would not have what others often take for granted, Brown Santa provides toys, books, and other items for children of age in low-income or families in need. It is a 501(c)(3) charity.
