Training Programs

Honor RollHonor Roll

The shelter pays for a positive reinforcement-based trainer to train select dogs in the shelter twice a week. This training helps the dogs learn good manners and makes their transition into a new home go more smoothly. Once adopted, the Honor Roll dogs' adopters may receive a free session with the trainer in order to learn what the dog has been taught through this program. Going forward, training may continue with the same trainer at a discounted rate.

If you're a positive-reinforcement-based trainer interested in participating in the Honor Roll program, email April Peiffer.
