Our Child Safety Seat and Booster Inspection Team conducts bimonthly events at our EMS training building. Williamson County has a team of Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians and three Instructors. We work with ATCEMS, St. David's Round Rock, CATRAC, WCCHD, and others. Seats are inspected for integrity, expiration, recalls, and appropriateness for the child. The team also ensures that the seat is installed into the vehicle correctly and the parent or caregiver can duplicate the installation without difficulty. If you are interested in attending one of our events, please view the calendar for dates. Contact us by phone at 512-943-1264 or email EMS Public Education for additional information.
Safe Baby Academy
Safe Baby Academy is a free interactive class that presents educational material covering child passenger safety, safe sleep practices, home safety, water safety, infant CPR and management of a choking baby. Led by WCEMS Paramedics and other skilled health professionals, we offer training and awareness to expectant families, parents, and other caregivers of young children, primarily children under one year of age. You can also get your car seat checked during the class by one of our certified car seat technicians.
